P4B Newsletter and New Member Update - January 2010

Welcome to the January edition of the Partners4Business newsletter. I apologise for its late arrival but it has been very busy at P4B which can only be good for the future. We hope you had an enjoyable holiday and that 2010 will be a healthy, happy and successful year for you and your business.

To our new members I would like to extend a warm welcome and hope you can find a good contact or partner for your business amongst the ever growing number of business contacts listed in the P4B database. Please don't forget to add your company logo and a head and shoulders photo of yourself to your profile, as it will make your profile a lot more interesting and attract you new contact opportunities.

New Member Update

I am pleased to say that we now have the business details of 966 members who represent companies and organisations from 48 separate countries. Those members are also featured in 26 member sector interest groups or cluster clubs that range from automotive to textiles. We have recently added member interest groups for Partners4Lifescience and Partners4Personalcare. See below for more details and future events.

Please check the P4B website for details of our new members. Also a few members have also updated their profiles and added photos and logos, so please check them out at
www.partners4business.biz Please take a few minutes to review their details and collaboration wishes to see if they could be a good contact for you and your business.

Forthcoming Events

Over the next few months P4B members will have the opportunity to take part in a number of events and conferences. Each event will include the opportunity for them to pre request a number of 1-2-1 appointments with some of the other event delegates and speakers. The events are listed as follows.

1. New Directions in Personal Care - 17th February, Leeds (UK) If you are involved in the Personal Care or the associated sectors of pharmaceutical, healthcare or chemicals this is an event for you. Organised by Personal Care Team at Yorkshire Chemical Focus, the event (which costs just £35) will facilitate the formation of partnerships that enhance the profitability and competitiveness of members of the personal care supply chain. To find out more please go to the event website www.delnet121.co.uk

2. Partners4Technology in Transport - 2nd March, Loughborough, (UK). Organised by the British Marine Federation (Central Region) and the Transport iNet in the East Midlands, this free to attend event will seek to provide an understanding of not only how technology in the sector is developing but also the implications for the supply chain and what grants and support are potentially available for business to underpin their development. If you are involved in the Transport sector then please take a look at www.partners4technology.co.uk

3. Bio Wales 2010 - 17-18th March, Cardiff, (UK) For the second year running, P4B are pleased to support the Welsh Assembly Government's annual Biotechnology conference. P4B parent company (Allancia) are once again using its CONNECT 1-2-1 at Events system to organise the 1-2-1 Biopartnering meetings. This year we are working together with P4B member - Push 4 - who are providing the event management support for the whole event. If you are in the biotech, life science or healthcare sectors this is a not to be missed event. The 2009 event facilitated over 350 separate 1-2-1 meetings between the event delegates. Please go to www.biowalesevent.com for more details on the event and to register on-line. It cost only £50 to register and that includes entry into the Biopartnering meetings.

We are working on organising several more events in 2010 so watch this space and the P4B website for details.
