2009 was an interesting year. The world economic crisis proved a challenge as we re visited our strategy and focused on the things we do well. We supported many events which were mainly held in the UK. They ranged from Biotechnology to Nanotechnology but always brought us in touch with interesting people, many of which have joined the network. My thanks must go to all our event sponsors and partners without whom life would have been much more difficult.
I am pleased to say that P4B is planning to organise many more 'Partners4' conferences and CONNECT 1-2-1 event based activities in 2010. The first event is to be held in Leeds (Yorkshire - UK ) on the 17th February and is called New Directions in Personal Care. The second is Bio Wales 2010 which will be held in Cardiff (Wales - UK ) on the 17th - 18th March. P4B and its parent company - The Allancia Group - are delighted to once again be supporting the Welsh Assembly Government and the European Enterprise Network (EEN Wales) team by organising the 1-2-1 Biopartnering meetings between the event delegates. All P4B members are invited to attend both events. I am also pleased to be able to report that P4B has now established 25 different member 'interest' groups. These range from Partners4Automotive (115 members) to Partners4Textiles (25 members) . The latest interest group is Partners4PersonalCare and is being supported by Yorkshire Chemical Focus as part of their February event. Our largest member interest group is Partners4Services (321 members) followed by Partners4Technology (285 members) and Partners4Healthcare (202 members). see the P4B website for details of all member interest groups (P4B Cluster Clubs).
